An Overview of the Drukpa Kagyü Order

One of the more important Orders of tibetan Buddhism is the Drukpa Kagyü, which is well established in Ladakh, Bhutan as well as in Tibet. The Drukpa Kagyü lineage originates with Ling Repa Padma Dorje a sucessor of Phagmo Drupa. The lineage holder of the Drukpa Kagyü, the Drukchens, are considered to be emanations of the great Mahāsiddha Nāropa.
